Effects of wood distillate and soy lecithin on the photosynthetic performance and growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)

Abstract This study investigated the effectiveness of foliar application sweet chestnut wood distillate on photosynthetic performance and growth lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L. cv ‘Canasta’), both alone in combination with soybean lecithin used as biosurfactant. Seedlings were treated a either mineral water (control), or 1:500 solutions 3% soy lecithin, plus lecithin. After 1 week, chlorophyll content, fluorescence, reflectance dry biomass measured. The results showed that exerted positive effect content production, but joint use quickly stimulated ca. 50% increase these parameters is thus recommended.
